FAITH, HOPE AND LOVE

______________________

The faith of the Son of God, who has loved me and given himself for me.

Galatians 2:20

 ...  But they have not all obeyed the glad tidings.

For Esaias says: Lord, who has believed our report?

So faith then is by a report, but the report by God’s word.

Romans 10:16 -17

Now faith is the substantiating of things hoped for,

the conviction of things not seen.

Hebrews 11:1

  But there are some of you who do not believe.

John 6:64

You err, not knowing the scriptures nor the power of God.

Matthew 22:29

For if those that are dead are not raised, neither is Christ raised;

but if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins.

 Then indeed also those who have fallen asleep in Christ have perished.

If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are the most miserable of all men.

(But now Christ is raised from among the dead, first-fruits of those fallen asleep.

1 Corinthians 15:16-20

 ...  and hope does not make ashamed, because

the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts

by the Holy Spirit

which has been given to us:

Romans 5:5

  ...For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments;

 1 John 5:3

And if any one sin,

we have a patron with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous;

and *he* is the propitiation for our sins;

but not for ours alone, but also for the whole world.

And hereby we know that we know him,

if we keep his commandments.

He that says, I know him,

and does not keep his commandments,

is a liar,

and the truth is not in him;

but whoever keeps his word,

in him verily the love of God is perfected.

Hereby we know that we are in him.

He that says he abides in him

ought, even as he walked, himself also so to walk.

1 John 2:1-6

 You will receive power, the Holy Spirit having come upon you,

Acts 1:8

The Holy Spirit also, which God has given to those that obey him.

Acts 5:32
