who has the power over these plagues.

And they repented not to give him glory.


Revelation 16:9



And they gnawed their tongues for pain,

and they blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pain and their sores;

And Jehovah Elohim

said to the serpent,


Because thou hast done this,

be thou cursed


above

all cattle,


and above

every beast of the field.


On thy belly shalt thou go,

and eat dust

all the days of thy life.


Genesis 3:14




To the woman he said:


I will greatly increase

thy travail

and thy pregnancy;

with pain

thou shalt bear children;


and to thy husband

shall be thy desire,

and he shall rule over thee.



Genesis 3:16

 

And to Adam he said:


Because thou hast hearkened

to the voice of thy wife,

and eaten of the tree of which

I commanded thee saying:

 Thou shalt not eat of it:

cursed be the ground on thy account;

with toil shalt thou eat of it

all the days of thy life;

and thorns and thistles shall it yield thee;

and thou shalt eat the herb of the field.

In the sweat of thy face

shalt thou eat bread,

until thou return to the ground: .


Genesis 3:17-19

 Therefore Jehovah Elohim

sent him forth from the garden of Eden,

to till the ground from which he was taken.


Genesis 3:23


 Cain rose up against Abel his brother,

and slew him.


Genesis 4:8


And Jehovah said to Cain:...

When thou tillest the ground,

it shall not henceforth yield thee its strength;

 a wanderer and fugitive shalt thou be

on the earth..

And Lemech took two wives:

And Lemech said to his wives:..

 If Cain shall be avenged seven-fold;

Lemech seventy and seven fold.

 The sons of God saw the daughters of men

that they were fair,

and took themselves wives

of all that they chose.

And God looked upon the earth,

to his brethren.

And there was a famine in the land.

Say, I pray thee, thou art my sister.

And the woman was taken

into Pharaoh’s house.

And Jehovah plagued Pharaoh and his house with great plagues

because of Sarai Abram’s wife..

And there was strife

between the herdsmen of Abram’s cattle

and the herdsmen of Lot’s cattle.


Genesis 13:7

And it came to pass ...


that they made war ...

 

Twelve years had they served ...

 

and in the thirteenth year they rebelled ...

 

And in the fourteenth year [they] smote ...

 

And they took Lot and his property,

Abram’s brother’s son, and departed ...


And Abram heard that his brother

was taken captive;

and he led out his trained servants.

And Sarai Abram’s wife

did not bear him children.

And Sarai said to Abram:

Go in, I pray thee, to my maidservant:

it may be that I shall be built up by her.

And Abram hearkened to

the voice of Sarai.

I have given my maidservant into thy bosom; and ... I am lightly esteemed in her eyes...

And Sarai oppressed her;

This is my covenant ...

 that every male among you

be circumcised.

and beheld, a smoke went up from the land as the smoke of a furnace.

While he was yet speaking, there came another and said: The fire of God fell from heaven and burned up the sheep and the servants, and consumed them; and I only am escaped, alone, to tell thee.

 Not ... for the uprightness of thy heart,

dost thou enter in to possess their land,

but for the wickedness of these nations

doth Jehovah thy God

dispossess them from before thee.


Deuteronomy 9:5

 I am Jehovah your God ...

But if ye hearken not unto me ...

  I will even appoint over you terror, consumption, and fever, which shall cause the eyes to fail, and the soul to waste away; and ye shall sow your seed in vain, for your enemies shall eat it.

And I will set my face against you, that ye may be routed before your enemies; they that hate you shall have dominion over you; and ye shall flee when none pursueth you...

and your strength shall be spent in vain, and your land shall not yield its produce; and the trees of the land shall not yield their fruit...

And I will send the beasts of the field among you, that they may rob you of your children, and cut off your cattle, and make you few in number; and your streets shall be desolate     .../...

And I will bring a sword upon you that avengeth with the vengeance of the covenant, and ye shall be gathered together into your cities, and I will send the pestilence among you; and ye shall be delivered into the hand of the enemy ...ten women shall bake your bread in one oven, and shall deliver you the bread again by weight; and ye shall eat, and not be satisfied....

And ye shall eat the flesh of your sons, and the flesh of your daughters shall ye eat.

And I will lay waste your high places, and cut down your sun-pillars, and cast your carcases upon the carcases of your idols; and my soul shall abhor you.

And I will lay waste your cities and desolate your sanctuaries; and I will not smell your sweet odours. And I will bring the land into desolation;

that your enemies who dwell there in may be astonished at it.

And I will scatter you among the nations, and will draw out the sword after you; and your land shall be desolation, and your cities waste....

And as to those that remain of you. I will send faintness into their hearts in the lands of their enemies, that the sound of a driven leaf shall chase them, and they shall flee, as fleeing from a sword; and they shall fall when none pursueth.

... And ye shall perish among the nations, and the land of your enemies shall eat you up.

And they that remain of you

shall waste away through their iniquity

in your enemies’ lands;


Leviticus 26:13-39

Why has Jehovah done thus to this land? whence the heat of this great anger?

And men shall say:

Because they have forsaken the covenant of Jehovah the God of their fathers,

 which he had made with them when

he brought them forth out of the land of Egypt;

and they went and served other gods,

and bowed down to them ...

And the anger of Jehovah was kindled

against this land, to bring upon it

all the curse that is written in this book;

and Jehovah rooted them out of their land in anger, and in fury, and in great indignation, and cast them into another land,

as it appears this day.


Deuteronomy 29:24-28

Ah! the Assyrian! the rod of mine anger! and the staff in their hand

is mine indignation.


Isaiah 10:5


But ye have not hearkened unto me ...

that ye might provoke me to anger

with the work of your hands...

Therefore thus ... I will send ... Nebuchadrezzar the king of Babylon, my servant,

and will bring them against this land,

and against the inhabitants thereof,  ...

and make them an astonishment,

and a hissing, and perpetual wastes.


Jeremiah 25:7-9


Land of Zabulon and land of Nepthalim,

way of the sea beyond the Jordan,

Galilee of the nations:

the people sitting in darkness

has seen a great light,

and to those sitting in the country

and shadow of death,

to them has light sprung up.


From that time began Jesus to preach

and to say: Repent,

for the kingdom of the heavens

has drawn nigh.

the stones will cry out.

for days shall come upon thee,

because thou knewest not

Luke 19:40-44

 If the world hate you,

know that it has hated me before you.

If ye were of the world,

the world would love its own;

but because ye are not of the world,

but I have chosen you out of the world,

on account of this the world hates you.

Remember the word which I said unto you,

The bondman is not greater than his master.

If they have persecuted me,

they will also persecute you;...

But they will do all these things to you

on account of my name,

because they have not known

him that sent me.
