It is a sacrifice of passover to Jehovah

Exodus 12:13

For the soul of the flesh is in the blood;

and I have given it to you upon the altar

to make atonement for your souls,

for it is the blood

that maketh atonement for the soul.

Leviticus 17:11

For if the blood of goats and bulls,

and a heifer’s ashes

sprinkling the defiled,

sanctifies for the purity of the flesh, ...

Hebrews 9:13

... the law, ... can never,

by the same sacrifices

which they offer continually yearly,

perfect those who approach.

Since, would they not indeed

have ceased being offered,

on account of the worshippers once purged having no longer any conscience of sins?

Hebrews 10:1-2

But in these

there is a calling to mind of sins

yearly.

For blood of bulls and goats

is incapable

of taking away sins.

Hebrews 10:3-4

And every priest

stands daily

ministering,

and offering often

the same sacrifices,

which can never take away sins.

Hebrews 10::11

the Holy Spirit shewing this,

that the way of the holy of holies

has not yet been made manifest

while as yet the first tabernacle

has its standing ...

Hebrews 9:8

... the which

is an image for the present time,

according to which both gifts and sacrifices, unable to perfect as to conscience

him that worshipped,

are offered,

ordinances of flesh,

imposed until the time of setting things right.

Hebrews 9:9-10

Without blood-shedding

there is no remission.

 But Christ being come ...

by his own blood ...

offered himself to God ...

 Sacrifice and oblation

thou didst not desire:

ears hast thou prepared me.

Burnt-offering and sin-offering

hast thou not demanded;

in the volume of the book it is written of me—

To do thy good pleasure, my God,

is my delight, and thy law is within my heart.

Psalms 40:6-8 ; Hebrews 10:5-10

 Has Jehovah delight

in burnt-offerings and sacrifices,

As in hearkening to the voice of Jehovah? Behold, obedience is better than sacrifice, Attention than the fat of rams.

1Samuel 15:22

 For the Christ is ... entered into heaven,

before the face of God

for us:

 Hebrews 9:24

he has been manifested ...

to bear the sins of many

To him all the prophets bear witness that every one that believes on him

will receive through his name

remission of sins

And the priest who hath been anointed ...

to exercise the priesthood in his father’s stead, shall make atonement ...

for the children of Israel

to cleanse them from all their sins

once a year.
