I AM COMING AGAIN
_____________________________________________________
John 14:3
He was taken up, they beholding him,
and a cloud received him out of their sight.
And as they were gazing into heaven,
as he was going,
behold, also two men stood by them in white clothing,
who also said:
Men of Galilee, why do ye stand looking into heaven?
This Jesus
who has been taken up from you into heaven,
shall thus come in the manner
in which ye have beheld him going into heaven.
Acts 1:9-11
The grace of God which carries with it salvation for all men has appeared,
teaching us that...
we should live...
awaiting the blessed hope and appearing of the glory
of our great God and Saviour Jesus Christ ...
These things speak,
and exhort, and rebuke
with all authority.
Let no one despise thee.
Titus 2:11-15
But we do not wish you to be ignorant, brethren,
concerning them that are fallen asleep,
to the end that ye be not grieved
even as also the rest who have no hope.
For if we believe that Jesus has died and has risen again,
so also God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep through Jesus.
For this we say to you in the word of the Lord,
that we, the living, who remain to the coming of the Lord,
are in no way to anticipate those who have fallen asleep;
For the Lord himself,
with an assembling shout, with archangel’s voice and with trump of God,
shall descend from heaven;
and the dead in Christ shall rise first;
then we, the living who remain,
shall be caught up together with them in the clouds,
to meet the Lord in the air;
and thus we shall be always with the Lord.
So encourage one another with these words.
1 Thessalonians 4:13-18
Behold, I tell you a mystery:
We shall not all fall asleep,
but we shall all be changed,
in an instant,
in the twinkling of an eye,
at the last trumpet;
for the trumpet shall sound,
and the dead shall be raised incorruptible,
and we shall be changed.
For this corruptible must needs put on incorruptibility,
and this mortal put on immortality.
1 Corinthians 15:51-53
... Now the bridegroom tarrying, they all grew heavy and slept.
But in the middle of the night there was a cry:
Behold, the bridegroom;
go forth to meet him...
and the ones that were ready went in with him to the wedding feast,
and the door was shut.
Watch therefore,
for ye know not the day nor the hour.
Matthew 25:6-13
knowing this first,
that there shall come at the close of the days mockers with mocking,
walking according to their own lusts, and saying:
Where is the promise of his coming?
... But let not this one thing be hidden from you, beloved,
that one day with the Lord
is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
The Lord does not delay his promise,
as some account of delay,
but is longsuffering towards you,
not willing that any should perish,
but that all should come to repentance.
2 Peter 3:3-9
we speak God’s wisdom
in a mystery,
that hidden wisdom
which God had predetermined before the ages
for our glory:
1 Corithians 2:7
Yea, I come quickly.
Amen; come, Lord Jesus.
Revelation 22:20
